Peaches

Ironically I wrote this while eating a peach which is how I came up with the idea.

‘’What a weird topic’’ you may say. My answer to that is ‘’if you like weird and funny then you have come to the right post’’.

It is an early European belief that peaches were native to Persia (that’s Iran to people who don’t look at a map regally) and were once known as Persian Apples, but many people would know that’s not true because they originated in China. (USELESS INFOMATION) And the name peach originated from the phrase ‘’you’re a real peach’’ from the tradition of giving a peach to the friend you liked.

The World’s Largest Peach is located in Gaffney, South Carolina, and weighs over 10,000 pounds.  The city of Gaffney, near Greenville, built this water tower in the shape of a peach back in 1981 which to be honest looks like a weird deformed orange buttock.

Many stories have been written about Peaches including James and the Giant Peach, which was eventually made into a movie of the same name, and Momotaro, the Peach Boy; a Japanese Fairy Tale, which is quite surprising since if you type Japanese into Google you get pictures of brothels in Japan, hmmm I don’t think Japan makes many fairy tales because most of them end with tentacles.

Anyway moving swiftly on.

Peaches do not gain flavour with cooking surprisingly.

My Future Gaming Bank

GOOD EVENINGS

Today many people in Wales had a dreaded ICT exam which I have to say wasn’t as bad as I thought, I actually finished within an hour. :) Now we play the waiting game.

Quite recently I have been talking to friends about new games I’m going to get later this year and with E3 recently finished, a hefty amount has been added to my list; the only thing is I’m probably going to have to find quite a lot of cash.

Here are just some of the awesome Games;
  •          MineCraft
  •          Halo 4
  •          Black ops 2
  •          Assassins Creed 3
  •          007 Legends

AHHHHH CAN’T FOR THEM GIVE EM TO MEH NOW!!

My list is a lot larger than that, though my list mainly consists of every single XBOX game ever made.

MineCraft seems to be a favourite in the gaming world and is 2nd on XBOX, just below Modern Warfare 3 which quite frankly I need to play more of as I am really bad. (http://majornelson.com/2012/05/24/live-activity-for-week-of-may-14th/)

Skyrim is also a game that I am bad at, I am currently a level 14 which compared to some people I know is pretty bad.

Call of Duty I’ve always enjoyed especially when they introduced Zombies.

Assassins Creed came along when I was recommended it off a friend.

Halo is my Game and probably the only one I’m quite good at; I was introduced to halo 2 in 2005 on the PC, and bought an Xbox in 2010 with halo 3 then followed by halo reach and Anniversary.

Just 5 More Days until freedom from the deadly GCSE’s.

Got to go now before the dreaded Maths beats me to death for not revising it.

The End is the start of Something New

GOOD MORNINGS AT NEARLY 5PM

For most people the GCSE Exam period is coming to an end, the end of my exams is literally a week away. Many of my friends and family have asked me what I am going to do next September, I have asked myself that same question and I still can’t answer; I have planned to go and get an apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical engineering and have gone to many interviews and have got many placements, but I ask keep asking myself ‘’what if I fail one of the crucial qualifications to get any job or collage placement’’ what do I do then? I would then calm my thoughts by saying to myself that if I did fail my exams it won’t be the world; you will just have to re-sit them.

I worry I bit too much sometimes (the only exam I am a bit worried about is English), and have started looking forward not back, (probably the only way I don’t turn into Mr depressive) for example at the moment I’m looking forward to getting my XBOX back and not looking back at the exams I think I might have messed up or not answered a question that all my mates have. If you don’t pay any attention to anything else in this blog just take the phrase. ‘’Look forward not Back’’

ANYWAYS TIME TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING LESS DEPRESSIVE

I am currently watching a YouTube series called ‘’Video Game High School’’ if you are a good fan of video games be sure to check it out (http://www.youtube.com/show/videogamehighschoolvghs?s=1) it’s really good made by a guy called Freddie Wong, I’m sure he appears in one of the episodes.

Anyway thanks for reading, Got to go back to boring ICT theory.
